HIS EXCELLENCY, HON. BETHEL AMADI HANDS-OVER CLASSROOM BLOCK AT AKABO HIGH SCHOOL

A modern classroom block built at Akabo High School, Ikeduru by the Member representing Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and President of the Pan African Parliament His Excellency, Hon. Barr. Bethel Amadi and his wife, lady Barr. Mabel Amadi have been commissioned by the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Ikeduru, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwuike. Speaking during the handing-over ceremony, Hon. Barr. Bethel Amadi, stated that the classroom block was constructed in memory of his late parents, Eugene and Comfort Amadi and recalled with nostalgia, that his late mother taught at Akabo High School. Describing education as the key and foundation for all human capital development, Hon. Barr. Bethel Amadi also recalled how he worked with   his colleagues in the House of Representatives to ensure the passage of the Universal Basic Education Act in 2004 which made education free and compulsory from primary school up to junior secondary school level. ...

HON. BETHEL AMADI DONATES 500KVA TRANSFORMERS TO ATTA AND ALAENYI OGWA

The member representing Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and President of the Pan African Parliament, His Excellency, Hon. Bethel Amadi has donated a 500KVA transformer to Atta Autonomous Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State. Hon. Bethel Amadi who is also Chairman of the House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, stated that the donation was in fulfillment of his promise to replace their broken transformer at Atta Girls Secondary School which had thrown the community into darkness for almost two years. Represented by his Special Assistant, Sir Oluchukwu Ibekwe, Hon. Bethel Amadi advised them to ensure that the transformer which is also being installed at no cost to the community, is not vandalized. HON. BETHEL AMADI VISITS PRESIDENT OF BOTSWANA

The President of Pan-African Parliament (PAP, His Excellency Bethel N. Amadi visited Botswana on Monday 22 July 2013, and paid a courtesy call on President of the Republic of Botswana, H.E Ian Khama, at his office in Gaborone. The President of PAP, Bethel Amadi briefed the Botswanaian leader about the progress made on the review process of the Protocol establishing the Pan-African Parliament and explained the need for amending the Protocol. Furthermore, Hon. Amadi advocated for support from Botswana in the transformation of PAP. “The protocol establishing PAP was adopted in 2000 and was now being reviewed with a view to enhance the functions of PAP. A draft amended protocol only gave the PAP legislative functions and not legislative powers”. Amadi Said.
