HON. BETHEL AMADI DONATES 500KVA TRANSFORMERS TO ATTA AND ALAENYI OGWA
The member representing
Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and
President of the Pan African Parliament, His Excellency, Hon. Bethel Amadi has
donated a 500KVA transformer to Atta Autonomous Community in Ikeduru Local
Government Area of Imo State. Hon. Bethel Amadi who is also Chairman of the
House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, stated that the
donation was in fulfillment of his promise to replace their broken transformer
at Atta Girls Secondary School which had thrown the community into darkness for
almost two years. Represented by his Special Assistant, Sir Oluchukwu Ibekwe,
Hon. Bethel Amadi advised them to ensure that the transformer which is also being
installed at no cost to the community, is not vandalized. He disclosed that
more than twenty four (24) transformers are being procured and installed in
various communities in the Federal constituency this year and then urged them
to continue to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s effort at transforming
Nigeria into a modern model state. Responding a community leader, Hon. L. T.
Ogide thanked Hon. Bethel Amadi for the timely donation and pledged his
community’s continued support to him. Also speaking, another community leader,
Hon. Asitokwam expressed his community’s appreciation for the kind gesture and
then promised that they will at the appropriate time, reciprocate.

In a related development,
His Excellency, Hon. Bethel Amadi has donated a 500KVA transformer to Alaenyi
Ogwa community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area. Making the donation Hon.
Bethel Amadi regretted that the community had been without electricity supply
for some time due to the damaged transformer at Ogwa General Hospital and then
urged them to ensure that the transformer which will be installed at no cost to
the community, is not vandalized. Represented by his Special Assistant, Sir
Oluchukwu Ibekwe, Hon. Amadi disclosed that a total of four transformers is
being procured and installed in four communities in Ogwa Clan this year and
then urged them to continue to support President Jonathan in his quest to make
Nigeria, one of the twenty largest economies in the world by the year 2020. Expressing
appreciation on behalf of the community, the Chairman of Alaenyi Ogwa
Electricity Committee, Sir Henry Okoroma thanked Hon. Bethel Amadi for coming
to their aid in time of need and then promised that they will reciprocate the
kind gesture appropriately. Also speaking a community leader, Dr. Eleonu
thanked Hon. Bethel Amadi for fulfilling his promise to Alaenyi Ogwa and then
thanked him for effectively representing the Mbaike Federal Constituency in the
National Assembly.
