The member representing Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and President of the Pan African Parliament, His Excellency, Hon. Bethel Amadi has donated a 500KVA transformer to Atta Autonomous Community in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State. Hon. Bethel Amadi who is also Chairman of the House Committee on National Planning and Economic Development, stated that the donation was in fulfillment of his promise to replace their broken transformer at Atta Girls Secondary School which had thrown the community into darkness for almost two years. Represented by his Special Assistant, Sir Oluchukwu Ibekwe, Hon. Bethel Amadi advised them to ensure that the transformer which is also being installed at no cost to the community, is not vandalized. The President of Pan-African Parliament (PAP, His Excellency Bethel N. Amadi visited Botswana on Monday 22 July 2013, and paid a courtesy call on President of the Republic of Botswana, H.E Ian Khama, at his office in Gaborone. The President of PAP, Bethel Amadi briefed the Botswanaian leader about the progress made on the review process of the Protocol establishing the Pan-African Parliament and explained the need for amending the Protocol.
