HON. BETHEL AMADI COMMIERATES WITH NANS



The member representing Mbaitoli/ Ikeduru Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and President of the Pan African Parliament (PAP), His Excellency, Hon. Bethel Nnaemeka Amadi has expressed sadness over the untimely death of the Assistant Secretary General (Zone B) of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Japhet Duru in a ghastly motor accident along the Umuahia – Ikot Ekpene Road along with other NANS executives recently. Speaking during a condolence visit to the deceased family at Okwu, Ikeduru LGA, Hon. Bethel Amadi regretted that the late Japhet Duru died on his way to Calabar to mediate in a dispute between the students of the University of Calabar and the University authority which had led to the closure of the university. Hon. Bethel Amadi then prayed God to grant the family, the fortitude to bear the loss. Responding on behalf of the family, Hon. Mike Iheboro thanked Hon. Bethel Amadi for finding time to personally visit the family in spite of his busy schedule and commended his humility.
In a related development, Hon. Bethel Amadi has described as shocking, the death of the NANS Senate President, Comrade Donald Onukogu in a fatal motor accident on his way to Calabar. Hon. Bethel Amadi who spoke during a condolence visit to the family at Itu, Ezinihitte Mbaise, noted that the late NANS Senate who was also the Ezinihitte Mbaise Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) died in active service to his motherland and then prayed for God to grant the family, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

HON NKODO DANG EMERGES NEW PAP PRESIDENT His Excellency, Hon. Nkodo Dang Roger of Cameroon has emerged the new President   of the Pan African Parliament (PAP) in a keenly contested election following the expiration of the tenure of Nigeria’s Hon. Bethel Amadi. A total of three candidates presented themselves for the election namely: Hon. Edwardo Joaquim Mulembwe   (Mozambique), Hon. Roger   Nkodo Dang (Cameroon) and Hon. Raboui Mongi (Tunisia). Hon. Nkodo Dang secured the highest number of votes amongst the contestants and was therefore declared the winner of the election. Ezinne Nneoma Comfort Maduagwu set for burial on Friday June 14

The remains of Late Ezinne Nneoma Comfort Onyemaechi Maduagwu of Umuayalu, Egbu in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State will be laid to rest on Friday June 14, 2019  after a funeral service at the All Saints Anglican Cathedral Church, Egbu, Owerri by 11 am. Late Ezinne Nneoma Comfort Onyemaechi Maduagwu is survived by Rt. Hon. Nnaemeka Maduagwu , a former Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, other children,grnd children, sister, auntie and in laws.  Other funeral arrangements are as announced by the family.
